Life Coaching & Mentoring
Life Coaching and Mentoring helps you to identify
what you want in life and set specific goals using a variety of
practical, simple and effective tools and techniques.
Some may see me as more of a ‘mentor’ than a ‘coach’, because a mentor has a personal touch and holistic view, which involves sharing knowledge, skills and experience, to help you to develop a positive growth mindset and reach your potential.
I am passionate about bringing out the best in people and
helping them to see - and be - their very best selves,
taught in a down-to-earth, relaxed, fun way.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully aware of the present moment, without attachment to the past or future, purely focussing on the present. The skill of mindfulness can be applied to all areas of life; mindful meditation, eating, walking, menopause and much more. Many companies such as Google, Apple, Starbucks and Harvard use mindfulness because of the
huge benefits, e.g. improved productivity, creativity,
relationships, attendance and general wellbeing.
"The Mindful Art of Chocolate Eating" or "Mindful Munching" are particularly popular activities for workshops!
Relaxation & Guided Meditation
Life is so busy these days, we rarely make time to truly relax. Relaxation is not just when we crash out at the end of a hectic day and try to sleep. We also breathe inefficiently much of the time, making us more stressed, unfocussed and tired.
Guided Meditation (also known as Guided Visualisation or
Guided Imagery) can be used to help you change unwanted
beliefs and behaviours, by entering a state of deep
relaxation and focused concentration, and offering
suggestions and visualisation to your subconscious mind.
Changes can take place very rapidly.
Relaxation, Breathwork and Guided Meditation techniques
can be learned to use at any time and place to help
your mind, body and spirit rest and rejuvenate.

ViX has over 20 years experience working in formal and informal settings as a University Lecturer, College Tutor, Guest Speaker, Community Music Workshop Leader, Vocal Teacher, Band Leader and Project Coordinator. Specialist areas include:

Women In Music, Music & Wellbeing, Music & Mindfulness, Nurture In Nature, and Personal & Professional Development Skills (particularly in the Music Business).

E.F.T.
Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping)
E.F.T. is an alternative therapy treatments which is used to treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain, PTSD, fears, phobias and addictions. It is often referred to as psychological acupressure or “tapping” because you are guided to tap on the acupressure points along the pathways (meridians) where energy flows through the body (meridian points), to release blockages and help restore a balanced energy flow, maintaining your physical, mental and emotional health.
E.F.T. is simple and effective, with improvements usually taking place in the first session.
Reiki Energy Healing (Human & Animal)
Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) is Japanese for “universal life energy” or more specifically, Rei meaning "God's Wisdom or Higher Power", and Ki which is "life force energy". Reiki is open to all religions and belief systems and can be a hands on or hands off treatment,
which can be safely used alongside other treatments.
Reiki relieves stress and pain, promotes relaxation,
releases blockages and balances energy.
I also teach the 5 Reiki principles, along with breathing and postural energy exercises, such as Kenyoku dry bathing technique (similar to Tai-Chi or Qigong).
I offer training for Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Master Reiki.
Sound Therapy
& Sound Healing
Sound Therapy and Sound Healing using specific frequencies, music and mantras is a wonderful way to align the chakras, calm anxiety, increase energy, be more creative, heal DNA,
manifest your desires and much more.
The sessions could include drones, dowsing, crystals, tuning forks, singing bowls, bells, rainstick and original music written by ViX.
You can even create your own unique mantra.
Music Mentoring
Music Mentoring is where an experienced music professional, supports a less experienced musician. In other words, the ‘mentor’ advises and guides their ‘mentee’, teaching musical as well as personal skills to inspire, equip and empower the mentee on their journey and in their wider life. As a mentor, I share my own life lessons, giving professional and emotional support to help you to set targets and achieve your own goals.

Performing live is still one of my greatest thrills,
whether with a band or leading my new Music Mantra project.
